Dr. Reed, Regarding a Meatotomy, I have read that difficulties urinating (spraying in every direction) is NOT a given if done properly or depending on the internal mechanics of my penis. So, are the difficulties a “universal truth”? Also, I can’t seem to find any useful info online as to whether having one would affect my ability to have children “the normal way”. (I have to assume the lower point of emission, say 3/4 of an inch, would be negligible–but I just wanted to verify). If there are real impacts, I may ask for you to expand the pee-hole by a few mm–a “partial meatotomy“???
Let me assure you having a typical meatotomy for meatal stenosis, should have no effect on your potential to have children (infertility). If there is reason for concern, have a seminal analysis now. Infertility is 50% male and 50% female related. Also it would be proper to verify the narrowing is not a manifestation of a congenital distal urethral stricture.
